John Iest, President, is founder of Amest Corporation. After graduating from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a degree in electronic engineering, Mr. Iest joined TRW Systems in Redondo Beach, CA., where he gained extensive experience in designing Attitude Control Systems for spacecrafts. He also designed the control system for a remote controlled unmanned submarine and a precision pointing control system for a satellite. After leaving TRW, Mr. Iest joined a start-up company, in which he was responsible for the design of a 16 bit computer and supporting hardware. He later joined a company that developed the first UPC bar code reader used in grocery stores. In 1976, Mr. Iest formed his consulting business where he has developed many products requiring both hardware and software designs for a broad spectrum of the electronics industry.

Mr. Iest is the creative, driving force behind Amest, and he continually strives to bring innovative products to his customers.
